But we won't win, win and win. We need newcastle to drop points. The attitude of "not worrying about other scores " is absurd.
So why does everyone seem to think Newcastle will win 3 in a row yet we will struggle to get 4pts ? I think that's just as absurd to be honest. They've got 8pts from 12, they're not going to get 14 from 18.

If you aren't bothered about Newcastle's results then by default you are saying you aren't bothered if they win their remaining games. If you say they won't win all their games you are indicating an interest and are therefore bothered.

Well every Sunderland fan in the world wants Norwich and Newcastle to lose their remaining games, there's no need to point that out. Some of us tho are more concerned with safc, if we can beat Chelsea regardless of what Norwich and Newcastle do this weekend were in a great position. If they can drop points then great, what a help, but ultimately I'm only thinking about us and if we can just turn up and beat them we will be in a fabulous position.

Because "it's in our own hands". Or has it actually dawned on everybody that we need Newcastle to drop points because we won't take maximum points from our remaining games?
Newcastle are down, they will lose their last games. End of story.

Yesterday I was wanting a palace equaliser more than a sunderland one. Newcastle's results are now just as important to our survival as ours.

What's the point of worrying what the mags and Norwich do..as it makes no difference to our results on the pitch..

We don't need to take max points, plus nufc won't get max points anyway

Well it's looking more and more that we need Newcastle to drop points, if they win their games then we need to win all of ours which is very unlikely when we only have 1 main goalscorer. Benitez has them playing well and playing for each other, it could go either way but if we can win 2 games we have every chance but yesterdays performance was worrying.
We don't need to Win all the games

I bet Mensa have their hands full here

Ok, we're unlikely to take 7 points from our remaining games and if newcastle do take 6 more points we'd still need 3 wins to be mathematically certain.

We won't though, so we need them to drop points.
We won't take 7 points but people think the Mags will take 6, very unlikely

What the fuck are you on about?

Yes they are. A palace equaliser yesterday would have been better for us than our own equaliser.
You're too consumed by the mags mate. It's up to us to stay up and I think we will.

It's in our own hands the way that winning the league is in our own hands at the start of the season.
