I don't think the highlights were wrong were they, we just signed the wrong player by all accounts?

So they either make a profit from our purchase clause or they get a player who has had a season of first team football behind him.

He was on loan at Union, and they had an option to buy. They decided to exercise the option, but then loan him out to us immediately, with us also having an option to buy (but presumably at a higher price). Union get either a nice profit, or a year's development of a player they can't find room for now.
