Reading that it sounds like Berlin have an option to buy as part of their loan agreement.
But if they’re releasing him from the loan to come here then presumably that wouldn’t stand?
The article says that the option to buy has been triggered so the requirements of the loan deal with Bayern no longer apply. So Union can now loan him to SAFC if they want.
Our option will be higher than what they have just paid Bayern, €1m+ won't be a lot if we go up.Yep. Makes more sense. Wonder if there’s an option in our loan? Would be odd given they’ve literally just signed him.
I’m sure I’ve read that foreign loans have to include them but no idea if applies to all leagues.Yep. Makes more sense. Wonder if there’s an option in our loan? Would be odd given they’ve literally just signed him.
He obviously won’t be as good a player if he’s not coming from Bayern. You must be logged on to see media items
Union buying him then loaning him to us.
According to the article it's a one-year deal and then he goes back to Union.Yep. Makes more sense. Wonder if there’s an option in our loan? Would be odd given they’ve literally just signed him.
Born and raised in Brussels.Fearful of some sort of whoosh here but Januzaj was born in Belgium.
But we'll also have the option to buy as it HAS to be included in the terms of the loan.According to the article it's a one-year deal and then he goes back to Union.
Aye, that was my understanding from what I read.Ah, looks like Union Berlin have signed him permanently and immediately loaned him to us!
Indeed, they may have decided he’s not what they need and can set a fee that guarantees them a profit. But we'll also have the option to buy as it HAS to be included in the terms of the loan.
Of course Union could just set the fee unrealistically high if they don't want to actually sell him.
Aye, I think that's more likely. They've just seen a way to make a quick profit so have taken up their option to buy from Bayern, give us a £2m fee and they've doubled their money if we go for it.Indeed, they may have decided he’s not what they need and can set a fee that guarantees them a profit.
