Leicestershire v Durham RL50

Some good performances today but it's still going to be another defeat. We seem to lack the killer (no pun intended) instinct to finish sides off.

In the Somerset game they look like they could win that so we could finish bottom of the group thanks to the ECB.

Good gutsy effort by the young cubs which augurs well for the future under hopefully new management 🙏 On a closing note Durham go home with a Pointless trophy

at 54-7 we showed something but killer instinct was going to be largely irrelevant from that point onward

Again some questionable selections squad wise as has been the case all season with under performers selected time and time again, you have to wonder if any changes would have been made if Gibson and Borthwick were ok to play today? The selection of Maddinson continues to confuse me and again you have to wonder why Doneathy isn't getting any game time, it's astounding, once again sub fielder today, so clearly not injured. The decision to bowl Maddinson was also astounding. You have to blame the regime for that, nobody else. It stinks to be honest.

On the flip side, some of the younger players are are doing well, it's the more senior players who are a concern.

As I keep saying it's a results business and our results speak for themselves under this regime, it's simply not good enough and changes are desperately needed.

We have achieved 9 points (7 officially) in the white ball game this year from 22 games. Winning 4 games, losing 17. That quite simply should result in the sacking of numerous people at the club. Throw in 1 win in 10 for the red ball game, it's impossible to justify the positions of several at the club, big changes are needed.

With Somerset winning today, we finish bottom of the table. A fine reward for the regime.

I think the RL 50 has been successful in that it's aim is to be a development tournament for emerging players. We've competed in Most games and given that we've effectively been without both overseas players can look back with some satisfaction. Gibson, Maclinden and Killeen have certainly benefited and developed, had we just one overseas player to provide the backbone of our innings I'm confident many of our defeats would have been reversed.Certainly a far more encouraging campaign than the T20 even though the respective league tables don't show it.

it's always been a format that suits us better. only frustration is doneathy. honestly makes f- all sense to me like.

more through luck than judgement we've been forcd into using mckintosh and macalindon and they both look proper finds. wish we were brave enough to back others, like doneathy and bushnell more often

Why should it be relegated to a development tournament? That’s what the second xi competitions are for. If England are to succeed in ODIs we need a fully fledged 50 over county competition in which the best county players can compete and emerge as future internationals.
