Leicester - was it worth it?

Seeing your side win the Premier League and then follow up with a few seasons in Europe including a quarter final in the Champions league.

I honestly would take 20 years in the lower leagues if I could witness us achieve what they’ve done.

Some will argue long term stability trumps short term success but those memories will last a lifetime to Leicester fans, isn’t that what sport is all about?

Probably. But experiencing such highs would make the lows they are hitting now 10x worse I reckon. The frustration of it going so badly wrong after winning the league and an FA Cup, they should have been able to kick on and stay as a top 10 side if they did things properly.

100%.

Controversial but I'd take what happened to Wigan - win a cup, get relegated - in a flash.

The league is generally pretty boring. Cup glory lasts forever.
I would have agreed a few years ago, but after 4 years in L1 I wouldn't now. Leicester have lived the dream though, as long as they can recover financially I don't think their fans can have any complaints. It's debatable whether they're even among the top 20 clubs in the country and they've won the lot in the PL era.

To be honest, I'd take winning the Premier League and then spending decades in a lower league considering we've already had to deal with years in League 1. It would also absolutely break mag brains, which would be a bonus.

The rivalry between Leicester and Coventry is nothing compared to ours, and Coventry fans are still seething about Leicester's success.

It's very easy in the cold light of day to say yes.

Imagine more multiple seasons stints in League One though. It was utter shite and felt like a false event.

You’d take it in a heartbeat, we did everything they’re experiencing for no trophies. Just seeing Sunderland lift the FA Cup would be enough for me to die happy.
