Cov were offeredas
Basically Cov were offered a £15 reduction at ER for a £7 Leeds reduction at theirs. They refused so their fans will pay £45 at ER and we will pay £37 at Cov.
They didnt want to lose out on the additional income they would make from a large away following at The Ricoh so are happy to fuck over their own fans but are giving them a £15 club shop voucher when they spend over £60. Win win for CCFC. Silly sods.

Coventry didn't want to lower their prices for Leeds coming to their place as it meant Leeds would be charged less than their own fans. Basically greedy bastards
Yeah, it's messy. Both clubs are to blame.
Coventry shouldn't need to lose £30,000 to stop Leeds charging £47.
Leeds are charging home fans £32 and £34 in large areas of the stadium but away fans will pay £15 more.
The whole club shop voucher is a stupid move. It makes things look worse from our side.
Our ticket prices are also too high.
Which is understandable from a business perspective.
This reciprocal deal that Leeds are putting in place is basically blackmailing clubs to lower ticket prices for Leeds away supporters.
Preston are charging Leeds fans £28 while their own supporters are having to pay £30-34. Thats a lot of money lost for Preston just to ensure their 2000 away fans are ripped off.

Agreed prices are too high across the board. Our problem is more often than not demand outstrips supply as ST sales are capped at 22,000. Add in over 1,000 corporates every home game we have 10,000 max matchday home tickets with over 50,000 paying between £50-£75 for a membership which gives the member a chance to apply for tickets and over 20,000 on ST waiting list.
West stand prices are too high but the club have attempted to do a deal that allows championship clubs to have their ticket costs slashed at ER (home fans in the same stand will still have to pay original prices £45-£47), with a reduction for Leeds fans away. On this occasion Cov fans could have saved more than double the reduction on offer to Leeds fans at The Ricoh. It has not worked out on this ocassion but fully expect both away followings to sell out.
Away from home we have a tiered system. Over 800 away ST holders and 200 away super attendees who had done 100 away games in the 5 seasons prior to prem. So for the likes of Sunderland thats half the allocation. If you then had done 20 aways last season you get next dibs before HST even get a shout and members then get a handful. No one wants to slio out of their tier (no new sales of away ST for many years) so again demand always outstrips supply.
