I'm not saying they're crap but you need a few sprinkles of star dust not just plodders for want of a better word. We have at least a handful of decent players who can make up the numbers. Dan Neil might turn out to be as good or better than Longstaff.

I hoping our new lads are our stars. We need them to be.

This is why I think PL proven is bollocks. Aye he can play in a team surrounded by players like Joelinton, Tonali and Giumareasreaees, but he's gonna find it harder at Leeds. Our signings may or may not work, but you definitely aren't signing a superstar in Longstaff.

Difficult with local lads (of any club) imo.

Often they do well but they move and career slides a bit.

Part of their value to the local club is that they’re semi-reliable, low wages, don’t kick a stink, good for media/PR etc
