When players earned £100 per week before going on to their dream of running a pub, testimonials were well deserved

Contrast that with "I want my son to be proud of me" Rodwell
 
Slagging a player off you sing for every game, he may not be Messi but the bloke looks lush and tucks his shirt in his shorts, love catts me, had Tiote in his back pocket and crippled Jack.

Agree, they need to go.

Difficulty is, who would take them? I think we’ll be in a far worse position in the summer, if Short doesn’t find a buyer. We’ll be stuck with the likes of Catts, Rodders, Steele etc and anyone else who’s contracted, and the managers hands will be tied.
 
Whoever says they are out of date didn’t go to Jody Craddock’s testimonial, was a great day out to show appreciation to a good guy and got to see Phillips and Quinn together again. That was done right, unlike the Rooney one. Could argue it was a shame that terry didn’t get a testimonial which meant he had to do all the bullshit against us, you can’t say him and Lampard didn’t deserve ones after what they won. Doubt anyone recently has not given the money to a charity or whatever but now think it comes to how liked the player is hence why Cattermole shouldn’t get one rather than just serving ten years.
