I just think anyone who watched him this year would realise he can’t play like, he’d get absolutely slaughtered, he’d have to bowl 30 overs a day, hes be going at 5s n 6s in the 2nd division

I agree, but he’s clearly a massive prospect so the thinking may be to chuck him in and back him to do a job. We’ve all established there’s not really anyone else sticking their hand up, I honestly think this will be where they go.

Whoever the spinner is will be targeted, especially with Stokes’ injury.

It’s a totally different role tho to that in Pakistan as 2nd spinner

He just isn’t good enough to bowl 30 overs

If stokes was fit then maybe but I think we’d get hammered if they picked him

Bowled well on debut and will be playing in India, might be worth the risk. Stokes said he was bowling yesterday in the nets so might bowl more than we think.

With it being Edgbaston, I would not be surprised in the least that Woakes comes in and they go with four seamers , possibly stokes bowling and root will do the spin

Woakes home ground as well

Again, I completely agree with you here. He’s 18/19 year old, I personally don’t think he’s ready.

But what we’ve all seen is the boldness of this set up. Could be massively wrong, I just think that’s where they’ll go.

Jacks similar.
Ahmed as a proper leggie number 8 batter.
Bess, not good enough bowler for me.
Parkinson isnt even playing.
Dawson perhaps the safest option to try and bowl a lot of overs in.

Dont think long term Leach would be the spinner we needed but he was what was needed right now with Stokes ongoing knee issue (id have Ahmed in if Stokes was fully fit mind you)

I just seen that they will call someone up in due course that might be sky guessing if stokes can bowl we might see a jacks Ahmed or Livingstone
