Le Fée’s debut performance

He did alot of work off the ball, closed down and broke up play very effectively. He was constantly looking around with great awareness. Control and passing on point.

Thought he looked quite classy on the ball his first touch in a Sunderland shirt was a lovely touch to stop the ball dead i think from Patterson, Probably more suited to play inside and see more of the ball but he looked classy. Shattered last 20 mins like

I thought he just looked top quality in most things he did.
When he turned their player on the touchline and played that ball round the back of their defence to Wilson I thought that was breathtaking.
There’s no way moving forward he’s playing there but when he beds down in a central position he’s going to be a huge asset.

He’s a proper player. Needs to be in the middle and it’ll be harsh on whoever is left out but as good as we think our young midfielders are he’s levels above them at the minute especially in terms of his vision and passing.

Think we have created a problem in getting Le Fee, Rigg, Jobe and Neil into this team at the same time…

…unless one of the 3 is leaving.

We could play a box midfield but our natural wide players would miss out. It might be best deployed when we're not facing dangerous full backs or wing backs.

Patterson

Hume Mepham O'Nien Cirkin

Bellingham.....Neil

Rigg..................Le Fee

Mayenda...Isidor

Needs to be in the middle. Pull the strings.
Squad game, the more depth we have the better.
Can see only good things with this lad at the club.

Mepham just hobbled off injured ?

He said before the game something about still needing to get to know his teammates, it'll come

The pass to Rigg that was just offside and the one he played to isidor were beautiful, glided down the line a couple times too

Few more misplaced passes than I'd have expected but I've said elsewhere tonight that he'll click with the likes of Jobe, Neil, and Cirkin when they're on the same wavelength
