Le Bris the yes man

We all know that Will Still was first choice and he wasn’t impressed with Speakman and the setup so turned it down and went to Lyon instead.

When he had options with Stewart, Simms and Amad the football was generally much better.

Amad isn't a striker and proves the point really that strikers are increasingly fairly optional. More and more these days the number 9 is there more to play in the wings than to score themselves.

A new forward who scores a lot of goals signing for Sunderland would be great. But we should not pretend it's all we need then we will be fighting for automatic promotion. The problems at the back end of last season were many.

Dogshit is a bit harsh. Wasn’t anywhere near the standard of the season before, mind. At least he didn’t play for 0-0s, like Dodds. Or that game when he said ‘we should give them the ball, cause there’s less chance of them winning when they have more possession.’

You are completely missing my point. You can’t take players like Stewart, Simms and Amad out the team, not replace them effectively and still expect the team to maintain the same playing style.

I think you are misleading the op. He never stated Le Bris is not good enough but has concerns about he could be a yes man. That is not to say a yes man can’t do a good job.

this was the season when Speakman signed up young kids with zero experience, three them into the first team, took them out when it was clear that they failed then tried a different one expecting something different to happen. I believe that is a first sign of madness doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome.

I am the CEO of a company, I need to hire a General Manager. I know lets hire someone who doesn't want to do the job the way we want it done.

Maybe the one that he can think of doesn't want to come here? (See Post #121)
