I think the forecast is pretty poor for tomorrow too but much better for Friday, it's good for us. A draw leaves us 40 points ahead of Lancashire with only 48 points possible to them. I very much doubt that Colly would be interested in making a game of it!

Colly will settle for the draw at this stage.

Although it's slightly disappointing we didn't capitalise on our fantastic start when we had Lancs 11 for 4, I'm quite satisfied with restricting them to 262 especially as they were 240 for 6 at one point.

Another excellent bowling performance from Onions. 6 for 41 from 26 overs is a splendid effort. I'm sure he will be back in the England team before long.

Rocky seems to have got off to a flying start - 15 from 21 balls.

174 FOR 3 Richardson 36no

Benkenstein out now 181 for 4

187 for 4 at the close Richardson 39no

on a tricky wicket it bodes very well for too young batsmen to get 70 and 39 not out, especially pleasing for richardson, i know 39 is not great shakes but it is very valuable runs and at 3 very promising. he opened for the seconds and got a ton last time out, whilst there will be no result here barring an absolute miracle it is great practise for the lad.

rocky, jennings & richardson may just be the top order next year at this rate, with stokes at 4 that is alot of promise and a lot of youth moving forward
