Lads Off To Dubai

You might be Timmy tinsel tits, but there are people in this city who can’t afford to feed their kids. Mogga said that the club realise this is a working class area and have to connect with the fans. Couple of weeks later, off to Dubai
What's that got to do with f***ing anything? I'm sure some of our fans have travelled to Dubai recently too......should they all stop too, because some folk are struggling? Stupid comment.

It will actually be interesting to see how we come back after this if the injuries are back to full fitness.

Its a bit of a mad concept really - a sort of pre-season but mid-season with all of your squad and no transfer window. Teams that don't have players represented at the world cup should benefit massively in theory.

Makes good sense to make the most of the time off with some team building, integrate the new lads in more.

Can someone explain to me what the point of warm weather training during the Winter is?

They’ll come back after the break in December, and it’ll be freezing. Would it not be better for them to stay here and train?
I would have thought they would be more likely to pull muscles going from hot to cold climate.

I suppose the team bonding point is logical.

In the blogs Mowbray said the return from Dubai they would be ready for Millwall on the 3rd Dec .... thought we were playing West Bromwich on the 12 th as first game after break ?.... BBC has Millwall down as postponed on the 3rd dec

No I think It's a fair question mind. Check out the human rights record of UAE and you'll see it doesn't make for good reading. I'd imagine this trip shouldn't sit well with many on here.
Many also just twist for the sake of it, if they went to Australia some would say their immigration criteria is too strict and they might get bitten by a deadly spider or snake, should just stop in the NE and suffer with the rest of us 🙄😉

Last time I went to Australia we stopped in Dubai for 1 night. I would never go back again, just didnt like it, they had a shopping complex which was just the biggest thing ever, every designer brand going, f***ing hideous. Just send them to Centre Parcs

Don't really fancy it myself but I'd probably rather be there than here in November with a load of my mates/ colleagues, if it does the trick of a bit of bonding, R & R and ironing out some kinks in a more relaxed atmosphere away from kids and wives happy days, we might just push on from it.

Mags loving this. Fits with their warrabootery. Warraboot Dubai.
They may have a point, look at Human Rights Watch website and read about the crackdown on free speech and journalists, lawyers and politicians jailed without a trial. Makes uncomfortable reading, bad choice of venue in my opinion! I would never holiday there.
