Lack of transfers concerning?

As it stands, we haven't replaced the player numbers we released, I think that number is 7. If the club told you that it's only 3 new signings because other clubs we want to do business with are taking the piss, like the very recent, old days. You would understand i.e. Will f***ing Grigg.

I don't think the problem is the club being lazy, or not trying. I think it's that this regime don't want the piss taken out of them like we've suffered for going back...20 years? I'm not happy at all that we've signed 3 players and Ipswich have 9, but it's just the way it is with SAFC and other clubs thinking wahay"""" SAFC want our player, let's take the piss.

I still think this regime will have a better impact on the club than the previous one over the next few years. Let's face it, that's not going to be difficult.

Just the way it is. Sustainability is the aim moving forward. There are going to be financial loses this hear and it's a new culture moving forward. Had to be really. Have to trust the process. No choice really.

We signed 3 free players your argument doesn’t stand up imo and the most important bit of all this was to get a squad together 5 weeks ago to let the team take shape we haven’t and will play the price, how can we not of signed 2 full backs by now, embarrassing man, no plan, no strategy 😡

We are 10 days from the season kicking off and don’t have close to enough players in the building what do you call that, good planning, good strategy 🤷🏻‍♂️

you can't control other clubs / agents / people. So if we haven't got the right players in in time, it doesnt make it a bad plan or strategy.

What would be awful planning and strategising would be to now panic and re-sign the likes of McFadzean and McLaughlin and be in the same position this time next year, trying to shift deadwood.

After the window closes. I'm sure we'll hear from KS and LJ talking about how we tried to sign XYZ but the selling team or player were taking the piss, again. This will end eventually, when we get back a decent status in the game.

First and foremost..look at Exeter ffs other clubs like that in L2..selling players to the champ for millions....their youth team. We've never done that. Talented kids f***ing off from SAFc before they've signed PRo contracts, that has to stop. WE're a stepping stone are we? Get fucked! haha and you're kid too.I signed Hugill on FM yesterday, he's 6ft3 apparently. To sum up we've had the ES years, and they were spectacular for a season or so. stayed in the EPL and when it finally clicked under BSA. It was taken away by him taking the ENgland job, just our luck that. Anyway back to the lack of signings so far. If it's to not continue the shite business we've done over the last 20 years or so, i'm fine with that. If it's because the new regime are equally as bad as the last, which I doubt. Then i'll be pissed off, with the rest of you.

Brill. I look forward to finding out who we missed out on and then I can imagine the team we could have had.

Promotion this year is what's most important...a positive impact over the next few years won't wash if we're in a stronger position going into another League 1 season in a year's time.

I find the lack of transfer activity encouraging. It must mean we're happy with the players we've got, they're all great and the bad ones probably put in extra training over the last few weeks and have now become good enough. Like magic.

Can you see us getting promoted? At this current time I can see us being passed by teams like Burton and MK Dons.

We're competing with Ipswich, Sheff Wed, Wigan, Bolton, Oxford, Lincoln, Portsmouth, Rotherham, Charlton and Wycombe.

At this rate we'll be lucky to finish mid-table.

No plan / no strategy?

Sorry, that's absolute bull.
No evidence of one to be fair. It couldn't have been a plan (or at least not a good one) to not have the vast majority of our signings in place to bed in during pre-season.

People talk about the importance of a good pre-season for a successful season. That being the case then where are all the players?

On the evidence so far, absolutely not.

maybe we're not listening to those people and have some different data-driven people who have decided that pre-season isn't that important?

Those are not the only 2 options

Edited, I forgot Charlton!

Maybe the young lads coming through are better than what we can buy isn’t that what people are constantly harping on about giving academy players a go

No what would have been good would be to do our business like Ipswich, where we are right now is not good at all
