I've already said that its easier to do up the stadium mate, but my whole point is that he needs to get this rebuild right because make no mistake if he doesn't, he has wasted a fortune on a lick of paint and new walls

Just for the hard of thinking, we have spent a fortune on pitches, wifi, sound systems, repainting the AOL but haven't spent a penny on YET on the most important part of a football club, irrespective of which "budget" they come from.
IF for instance the players we get in don't perform or we are struggling, it doesn't matter how pretty the concourse is, how cold the beers are, what a great signal the wifi is and how good the tunes are, people will not turn up. I don't see why you are trying to argue against that, but then again I do. You want to play the victim yet again

why we need the money now...we put ST prices up this year..and need to sell corporate boxes this year..so need to improve the product now, though I accept its a less significant compoenent of the overall product than the 11 on the pitch

I agree with this, we reportedly spent 500k on new pitch lights, but that investment in the playing squad buys you Scott Fraser at this level, one of the best midfielders in the league.

Just to summarise my little Irish friend, if we do the stadium up but have a shite team, we will have trouble selling corporate boxes even if they looked like the Queens Parlour. If we have a good team they wont give a fuck what the boxes look like. Ultimately the aim is to get better year on year, but 4 years down here is long enough, this really needs to be our last

but they also have 500k for footballers..and dont want scott fraser as they want players with sell on value..

Less than 2 before our first game
Either everything is going as planned behind the scenes or it's Sunderland Till I Die Season 3 and we are in serious trouble.
The fact we took the option to retain Burge and look like keeping him as Number 1 fills me with dread

Must have been surely,think there is more going on.We have given Patterson a 2 year with further year option so 3 really.Also some posters have said the Man utd kid is also coming in.So hopefully taxi for Burginho
 
Very. Got a feeling it’ll be the 23s making most the signings with a couple who’s there now stepping up, still think we’ll bring one or two in but it won’t be many imo.

Tbf, in that article it even says those being promoted to the first team squad will be given a chance in preseason but may be loaned out at a later stage.

I am as frustrated as anyone we seem to be behind the rest of the league in terms of when we are making transfers, but for now all we can do is hope when they do come in they’re good enough.

Im certainly not worried as of yet we will just promote and sign new kids.
