Lack of transfers concerning?

While I understand not wanting to throw money at it, I would like to see the owner combine some sensible spending alongside the data driven approach.

If Short had done than in the Championship instead of pulling the plug we would never have been in this league.
Exactly no one is expecting us to spend millions upon millions as we have seen in the past that it doesn't guarantee success, we need to be sensible and have a proper approach to our recruitment. I'm always firmly in the camp that we should do our business early and have a proper preseason where the team gels instead of panic buying and crossing our fingers that they hit the ground running.

If we are looking to sign players for money, sellers usually drag it out in order to get more money. Not much you can do about that, except pay too much for someone to get it done more quickly.

Like I have said before, there is no point in improving WiFi at the stadium, having nice decor at the AOL, creating a better fan experience at the stadium, when fans won’t turn up cos the football is shit. Let’s worry about checking how our bets are coming on at half time till a later date and get some decent players through the door.
two copletely different sets of employees working on that using completely different budgets..its not one or the other

Can flick sky go on and watch the premier football if we’re getting done by Cambridge United or Morecambe

yet still coming from the same funders, but again you miss the point. Supporters would much rather see investment in the squad, because if that is shite, then no supporters will come in and see how good the wifi is.
but again using the word "rather" imples you think its one or the other..its not, its both...

My post suggests they would rather watch decent footy, yes that's a given. The current position is that it isn't both because we haven't spent a penny on the first team squad, which is kind of my point. I realise that it will change, unless you think I'm stupid enough to think that we will do the stadium up but not the team. I am talking about the here, right now because that is all we have
We need a massive rebuild and of course its easier to put a new sound system in, but supporters will be getting restless.

This - as of last weekend, only 5 transfers completed in L1 to date involved any kind of fee, and at least 2 of them were for players who had been on loan at those clubs last season. The rest of the transfers were for players who had been released.

I hope this means that we are mainly targeting contracted players and players who have been out of contract whose clubs are trying to persuade to stay, and those transfers will take longer than bringing in a completely free agent.

Of course I might be wrong but it’s nice to try and be positive sometimes.

But we are doing the stadium up. Look I went around in circles with you yesterday and don't fancy it today.
Just for the hard of thinking, we have spent a fortune on pitches, wifi, sound systems, repainting the AOL but haven't spent a penny on YET on the most important part of a football club, irrespective of which "budget" they come from.
IF for instance the players we get in don't perform or we are struggling, it doesn't matter how pretty the concourse is, how cold the beers are, what a great signal the wifi is and how good the tunes are, people will not turn up. I don't see why you are trying to argue against that, but then again I do. You want to play the victim yet again

i never want t play the victim. And you are right-he club hasnt spent a penny on footballers this summer-he hasnt even funded the wage costs.
The club has more control over when staduum works are done than when players sign. Simple as that. Now lets leave it there, I dont wan to dissapear down a rabbt hole as happened yesterday.
