I'd quite like us to be in for the likes of Harvey Elliott on loan. He was at Blackburn last season and while they're a league above us, it would give him good experience at a bigger club/ground before he goes back to Liverpool.

I'd also like to see us go in for Neco Williams. Available from Liverpool (according to my contact), Welsh international and probably not on much money.

Not a chance in Hell of signing either of those.

Harvey Elliott was 3rd in the Championship assists table and very highly thought of. Not a chance he’ll be dropping to L1 - he’ll be at a very top end Championship club, if not in the PL, on loan this season.

Williams has been linked with Southampton, Burnley and Leeds in a £10M transfer, and his performances at the Euros will have enhanced his reputation.

It wasn't that long ago we were sending our youth players to this league, where they were by far the best players in the team. How we cannot get promoted is a disgrace tbh. The standard of football is atrocious.

The “bed wetters” have been proven right every summer. Let’s hope this time they’re wrong. And I bet the majority would be happy with that too
