best of luck to kyle, enjoyed watching him bat on the few occasions i got to see him.. always seemed to have a decent knock when i was there, must be a lucky, should have been there more for him!

wasn't given a fair chance here imo. He was better than a few of the first team batsmen and how this lad didn't regually play 20/20 for us is completley beyond me particually when you consider the inclusion of smith

I agree, him and Brooks are a decent new ball partnership.

Vaas signed a one year contract extension too.

How old's he now? Must be on his last legs.

Shame to have let him go bearing in mind we'll be losing Diva and Benkenstein soon. He offers at least as much as Stoneman, Muchall and Smith, probably more in limited overs.

He's 37 I think, was always an intelligent bowler rather than one who relied on pace so probably part of his continued success.

good luck to the lad, always remember when he smashed warne for six at lords

when he was included but batted at 9? beyond ludicrous that like.

hard isnt it, smith, muchall, stoneman & coetzer all more or less like for like but for whatever reason coetzer was inevitably teh odd man out. as you say i think hes a better one day player than muchall and definitly smith but there you go.

still trust geoff to know better than myself and im sure its mainly to do with cutting our cloth, if he would rather let go off kyle than any of teh above im sure its the right thing to do.

Good luck to the lad. I'll never forget his knock at Lords or the his contributions in our Pro 40 Division 2 title success.

Batting-wise, Coetzer is the pick of that bunch for me. Putting my neck on the line but I suspect he's got the best 1st class average of those 4.

rocky the pick for me, maybe only because he has time on his side and seems to be improving. smudge, muchall and costa all useful, possibky costa more as hes better in short form.

as for averages you are right,
KC - 33.3, WS - 32.9, GM - 32, MS - 27.8

This undoubtedly for me too. He was always the fallguy when the top order werent making enough runs yet Muchall & Smith have had dozens of chances.
