going to come back up north in a few weeks, think we are at home on the 20th? hopefully he is playing.

Lewis reported that there had been no further progress in the last three days in Durham’s audacious attempt to sign Kumar Sangakkara, adding: “We are hopeful because he’s keen to come.

There are a couple of hurdles to overcome, including getting the approval of the Sri Lankan board.”

Bit frustrating like, but should be ok. The Northants situation with Kleinveldt worries me though.

hasn't he retired from all forms of international cricket? other than us :p
 
So not as long as we originally thought, but if it's right that he's costingaus buttons then there's not really much to complain about
 
Just going off Jon Lewis comments in the week which suggested the club was still 'trying' and 'hoping' to get him but there's been some kind of religious holiday for a week or so in Sri Lanka so nothing's been done.....

Nothing that he said suggested he wasn't coming, it's just that a fortnight ago he was nailed on, with even a slight chance of playing against Sometset. Now this. Leads me to worry. Big week or so coming up in the Kumar stakes it seems.
