I'll have to take your word for it....my impression was that most thought he was a fantastic batsman but a potentially disruptive figure. If, as you say, people were saying he was a poor batsman, well, they are clearly wrong.
 
I don't like KP the man but KP the test player was awesome. A huge hole in our batting line up now he's gone.
