I mean never say never but these aren’t the same situations at all. Have a read up on why he’s left, what he turned down and who he was linked with before this poor season and you’ll see why it’s not gonna happen.

He’s going to the World Cup with the best team in the world. He’s obviously not.

He’ll end up at Real Madrid or something similar.

One player i just don’t rate. He’s a bomb scare every time i watch him. Van Dijk has done some heavy lifting bailing him out multiple times
 
Have to be very careful not to upset the dressing room togetherness. Quickest way if to bring in someone new on much higher wages. Xhaka worked cos he was in before a lot of the rest and was such a leader on and off the pitch.

Not sure this lad would be that standard.
 
Wouldn't play him ahead of Mukiele or Alderete. Struggling to think of any centre halves in the league I would do actually apart from Van Dijk and Ruben Dias...Gabriel, Saliba too I suppose
