I said to the bairns when he took over, I think his dream would be for us to play Marseille in Europe (Marseille being his team). Well, now it could genuinely happen as they are in a different pot to us in the draw.

Not enough has been said about this man in the last 24 hours. In 5 and a half years, we've gone from our historical low as a club to the best achievement in 60 years under his leadership.

He rebuilt the culture at this club. This club under his leadership is authentic. We know who we are and who we represent. As a result, Recruitment is easier because we know the characters that we want. It also becomes easier to attract those characters because they gravitate to an environment that wants to be more than the sum of it's parts.

The culture is genuine, the environment is primed and as a result the players over-deliver. This isn't luck, it's design. A design and ambition that came from the top.
 
Hope this happens and would love it for him. Only downside would be greenwood playing on our pitch so hopefully its away.

He's had a proper, well-thought out plan and he has stuck to it. The acknowledgement that we needed to completely overhaul the team to compete in this division, then not to fall into the trap of just recruiting has-beens from other Premier League teams has paid huge dividends.

Then when you see all the behind the scenes stuff from the club, you can see it's an elite environment now.

Not much has been said about him in the last 24 months! He’s been the driving force in our recovery. We bang on about winning cups etc. but you try working yourself from the ground up from the depths of League One despair to be a 7th placed team heading into Europe in only 8 years. Mettle is the one achievement that people whitewash over in favour of short term gratification like bits of silver, staying up in the Premier League and places in Europe. If you can cope with difficulties and show resilience and determination that is worth more than all the domestic cups, seasons in the PL and European football. That is something money cannot buy. A big club's money would be useless when it comes to testing their resolve. Their ability to come back from the brink and become stronger at the end of it. M**hv*n and D**al* may have stopped the runaway train from derailing but they didn't get it running more efficiently.
 
Could get Coutinho based on his showing today, done really well in the Ronaldinho and friends.
