HSBC...https://www.themag.co.uk/2022/07/newcastle-united-owners-borrow-from-hsbc-secured-on-ticket-sales-and-media-rights/

and the money is secured against future ST money and media rights..ie assets of the club not the owners..
Thanks. So they’ve put a working capital facility in place. Like virtually every business of scale has

It’s relatively small beans relative to total funding. I’m sure Chelsea have had similar, but it’s hardly £900m that they’ve spent in transfer fees

chelsea are I think, this summer, in surplus on transfers, ie they have brought in more than they have spent..that may have changed more recently as they seem to be signing players every day...

what total funding of newcastle?
on transfers..they have used HSBC's £75mn and they have sold some players and they have TV money...would the onwers commitment be very substantial at all after that lot?

Chelsea have spent £900m in the last 18 months, they have recovered something like £250m

On the Newcastle point, you know they have other costs right? Wages? Are you really suggesting that the Saudis are not putting funding into Newcastle? If so, why didn’t they spend all of the money (Isak, Tonali, Gordon etc) when Ashley was in charge?

Working capital facilities are not particularly interesting, they’re factoring their receivables that’s it

You’re confusing self funding with leveraging the club.

Remember the Dell stuff? All clubs can do it.

im not saying the newcastle owners hvaent put anything in, Im saying owner funding is part of the mix along with external debt and the revenue raised by the club itself..as in the case of chelsea when they borrowed £800mn...those owners havent put a penny in...the newcastle onwers probably have..

Under Ashley, newcastle was run to make a short term profit, and it did...they could have taken on external loans more than they did but ashley chose not to,..

Havent newcastle also put ST prices up a lot? Thats more cash..

Needs to sell up . Taking the p**s out of 40’000 that turn up every other week . No ambition only cost cutting .
Could the 11 of you please fuck off and support someone else. Big babies.
Loads of improvement needed throughout the Stadium, even a lick of paint would be a good start.
OK mate, only a certain amount of money available each year what's it to be - team or stadium?

Who have Newcastle got external funding from?
A piece of turd who bombs the shit out of Yemen…innocent people getting killed…murders anyone who stands up to him…stone’s women who accuse a group of men of gang rape…orders the killing of journalists…hates anyone who is not heterosexual. Sorry, just could not resist your one line post with no context 🫣

The OP has gone surprisingly quiet. On the one hand that's welcome. On the other had there's a Shaun the Sheep getting stowed in on the Bigg Market. A mixed bag of results all in all.

It’s Sunderland mate not Scunthorpe
The pissing about with Stewart’s contract is ridiculous , we still haven’t managed to bring in a striker & are limping along hoping for a miracle
The stadium needs investment , not acceptable
Definitely on a wind up

I don’t think you could get the likes of Clarke, Roberts or Amad on any shoestring budget even though I am frustrated by a lack of experienced striker.
i don’t think losing X amount of million is shoestring budget either
Now Stuart Donald was an example of shoestring budget, you want to go back to that?
Stuart Donald did at least spend 4 million on a striker.
Yes he was shit but at least Donald tried

Once he has finished the SOL upgrades and increased capacity to max design he will attract buyers.
