And then they spat on Sir Berby. His debut was 82.
lets all laugh at the scumHappy Birthday Kevin.
You can all take the Michael as much as you want, it was a glorious time to be a Newcastle fan. I have nothing but fond memories.
Still can't believe it myself. So close. If only Bryan Robson's Middlesborough had even tried to give man united a game on the last day and we'd have beaten spurs.
Remember when they bottled a 12 point lead.![]()
yeah, but we still lost to spurs though.
remember when you were even close to the top 5?............................................mic drop
Remember when they bottled a 12 point lead.![]()

They put the mags on the map not usTwo people who've helped put north east football on the map in recent times.
They put the mags on the map not us
I've got way more respect for Keegan's Grandfather who was one of the rescuers at the Burns pit disaster in Stanley in 1909. Both Keegan and Shearer won their trophies elsewhere thankfully.Oh yeah
Garza????The Messiah. Nobody will come close to the great man.
He encapsulated everything about what a football fan should fall in love with. The passion, energy, charisma, heart on his sleeve mentality was what made him great.
He got it and everybody followed. You'd have followed the mani to the gates of hell.
His beauty was that his faults were there for all to see but that's what made him. I look back on the classic 'I'd love it if we beat them', the image of him slumped over the Anfield hoardings and him standing on the steps, face to face, telling the fans why he'd just sold the fan favourite goal machine and it makes me proud that he was our man.
He loved us and we loved him.
Anybody who tells you that it's Shearer / Beardsley / garza who is their hero has it wrong. King Kev, from his beautiful debut in 84, to the helicopter departure, to rescuing us from division 3, to all that followed was the man.
I love the man.
You really are mad, aint ya Cyril ... With all due respect to mad people who aren't called Cyril. The Messiah. Nobody will come close to the great man.
