Keep Le Bris even if we're relegated?

i'm just wondering what everyone's take is on potentially keeping le bris even if we are relegated. just like ipswich have with mckenna. build around le bris so that we can go again?

(btw i'm not saying we're going to be relegated, just a thought)

Given I can’t see where 30 points are coming from before the season starts, yes I think we should retain him.

I really really want to be wrong. But I think more than 40 points would be a miracle.
30 doable. Hence anything above 30 would be a really good season

If we get 35 and get relegated it isn’t no matter how people dress it up

Depends on how we are relergated for me.

Play dog shit footy and onky get 6 points (from the mags) then aye.

But going down on goal difference givingnit a good go i can live with

if we are consistently competitive and not making stupid errors again and again like Ipswich and Southampton did last season, by foolishly playing in a manner that their players were not capable of, then I’d be more than happy to keep Regis next season.

But we have to show that we make a valiant effort on the steep learning curve of Premier League football regardless of outcome.

Bang on this!

As things stand I challenge you to go through those fixtures and hand on heart tell us where we will get 35 points.
Then tell me it’s the managers fault
It's 11 v 11, you aim to win at home and draw away simples.

Seriously we need to win at home to the relegation rivals and to draw against them away and that will get you close to 35 points.

Nonsense not to.
He has massively overachieved.
We have sold Jobe and Watson who between them may have contributed eight to twelve points. next season
The next steps , the players Speakman will bring in ,will define the club for seasons to come.
Regis should not be a fall guy if things go titties up.
Personally I think he underachieved with that squad.

Thought we should have walked that league, thought we should have played two upfront , especially at home.

Thought he was tactically naive with substitutions and lineups.

Congratulations to him though on getting promoted. We never do it the easy way.

That’s 2 teams, = 8 points.
Realistically based on what we know I said.
Which comes back to the question would you sack RLB if he got 35 points. I wouldn’t.
However if we make some serious buys and a couple of other teams go into a tail spin, maybe the expectations will change….. but not as things stand

It just all depends how the season goes, the fans in general will push to get him out if we are having a season like the 3 which have just gone down.
I'd like him to stay in if we get relegated and made a good go of it.

Anybody ? 😳😳
If people hound him out after what he achieved last season they need to give their heads a shake. RLB knows his onions.
It will happen am afraid. I reckon we will get between 18 and 26 pts. Reg should be here for 26/27 championship campaign. But the fans won’t accept it. This place will implode. Those of us wanting to stick with the model will be in the minority.

McKenna has probably earned a bit of time as he got Ipswich promoted twice. He did very poorly last season in terms of signings and tactics for me. If they aren't in the top six by October he'll still get peddled.

To me it largely depends on what sort of team we assemble and how he does. If we push the boat out and he doesn't make a good fist of it he'll probably be sacked before the seasons out.

If we only spend about £50M we might give him more leeway.
You can also add in that McKenna signed up to a 100k per week five year deal a year ago

Hes done an exceptional job so far. Hope the club backs RLB with decent funds but dont think they will. We need an investor with serious money. Otherwise not a Black cat in hells chance surviving in this Premier League . The team did the business now the board needs to.

We have just got 40 million in sales and 200 million for going up and just made our record signing we don't need a serious investor.

We don't even know what our starting XI will be. More to the point, RLB and Speakman don't even know.

We might be all be pleasantly surprised.
