Keep Le Bris even if we're relegated?

i'm just wondering what everyone's take is on potentially keeping le bris even if we are relegated. just like ipswich have with mckenna. build around le bris so that we can go again?

(btw i'm not saying we're going to be relegated, just a thought)
100%

This is obviously a very reasonable idea and i'd be an advocate for doing this. However, given the amount of people that completely lost their heads and were salivating at the gash for him to be sacked on the back of the losses heading into the playoffs, its probably sadly inevitable that a run of bad results next season (no matter how foreseeable and expected this is) will see our beloved Regis getting the sack.

That would depend on the manner of our relegation surely.

What a waste of a post.

Based on this past season, I expect we will play more defensive/counter. That to me is a good approach as we have seen repeatedly how promoted teams get dismantled trying to play free flowing attack.

That said, we could play more cagey and still get relegated - then people criticize the manner of play.

I do hope we stick with RLB, regardless of league position. The thing that may alter that for me is if he abandons all common sense and tried to emulate Man City. I don’t think he will though and that’s why I want him to be given time.

If we are in in deep doo doo but have a mathematical chance and Big Sam is mooching about the SOL, get him gone.

Let’s not kid ourselves. He’ll be getting hounded if we are rock bottom after 10 games next season. There were people that wanted him sacked at the end of last season when we lost 5 in a row when it was clear as day he was resting players and preparing for the play offs.

Feel he will be wanted by so many teams if we sack him so we need to be clever and just keep him.

It’s far too early to say either way. It’ll depend on all manner of things. In theory yes, however, if we are getting battered every week and are cut adrift peoples opinions will change quickly
there were some ejits on here calling for him to be sacked before the first play off match v Coventry. we lost 5 meaningless matches!! get a new bloke in!

sorry for repetition. JL 1985 has just posted similar.

If people were turning on him when fourth in the league and well clear in a play off place just a couple of months ago, which amazingly some fans were.

He has no chance if things start badly in the premier league!

Sad but very true in the crazy modern world of football,

I guarantee that almost everyone saying to keep him regardless will change their tune if we get relegated. The euphoria of the playoffs has clouded people’s memories of the last few months of the season (mine included)

I would, but the problem would be , if we go down Regis will have been peddled a few months earlier to try to save us ☹️

Depends how we go down….
If it’s fighting and the players give it their all and we’re just not there yet then fair enough….
If he does a Moyes, then see yah….
