Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Probably been SEB somewhere but I just realised why that, since the rugby, the first part of the bridge now has a different layout with the 2 angled stripes coming off the keel line. It's front of the keel and the angles are similar to being the 2 stripes leading off like the bow of a ship.

Though I can't see anything in the patterning of the rest of the bridge how it starts going straight across, then a slight angle and then a bigger angle near the SOL side.

This was the CGI version and you can see it much easier.

The first one is quite a clever optical illusion because it doesn't look flat, as if it dips into the middle. At eye level it will be fine but it will no doubt be highlighted as a design flaw by those who trip over benches.

Or looking for the scanner for their season tickets, apparently only season ticket holders on a match day allowed on!

Will there be music and any kind of dancing before we march across linking arms etc?
It’s gonna be like Martin Luther King on the Edmond Pettus bridge.

“We shall over co - o - ome” 😁

All the fascist wankers from the Trump thread will be out in force looking to night stick the coloured folks.

Great video but I have to ask...are you there every morning and night?
 No but I live close enough that I can take a wander down if the conditions are good for flying the drone. The wind has been a nightmare recently so when it was calm last night I had a walk down and struck lucky with it being lit up.
I do go for a walk every morning and I'm quite often down that way so will check it out, don't often have the drone with me though.

Oldie and Ruleigan will have to be rescued by the emergency services for trying to hang a Union Jack from the crossing

This maybe only be one data point but if getting people into the city centre is the name of the game then its changing my pre match plans already.

Have always drove over from Cumbria and parked on Lilburn road near B&M, extremely rarely going into the city centre before the game. 20 odd years of the same routine.

Going to park on city centre side of the river on Saturday and see how it goes getting back out the traffic for a swift exit home via Spire Bridge.
