Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Cheers Bob. 3 more left after this, if you could.
👍

Great photos. I'd be properly in the huff with the grey skies though.
That bridge/subway at the end of The Sheepfolds is getting closer and closer.

Well this exile is very grateful for all the lads posting pics and videos. Ta!
Looks absolutely brilliant. Has to be one of the best achievements for the town - in particular the town centre area - in ages.

One of my criticisms of the town in the past is that when aa were a lad and used to go window shopping (I could never afford to buy much!) the town went from Liverpool house in High street East past Chppys model shop and Willie Watson’s up Fawcett street then right to Binns and past the station then through the market square, past the leis up to Louis in Park Lane, Court Sports on Vine place and back down Holmeside for the clothes shops and Josephs of course.

It seems over the years the town had shrunken into the bridges but now it seems to be expanding and sorta linking the stadium and Sheepfolds to the town centre / Keel Square on a direct line rather than having to detour over the Wearmouth.

I see these pics and I’m impatient to see it all finished then have to remember I won’t be home for some time (next year?) so there’s plenty of time for it all to be cleaned up before I’ll get to see it in person. I love the idea of having a ‘River walk’ footpath on both sides so I hope that’s continued and links up with any existing riverside pathway.

Thanks for that, makes it all worthwhile. Getting the drone over and uploading on here from the first stages of construction of the bridge through to now almost complete has been thoroughly enjoyable. Me and @RestlessNatives hopefully will be uploading till it is open and beyond till the build and surrounding areas are complete.

Glad you’re enjoying it, thanks again.👍

Superb, its great to see that the new and repurposed buildings (Sheepfolds and Training Centre) are real quality builds. it looks tremendous coming off the new bridge and going past a gem like Sheepfolds on the way to the match.
