Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

I think we all agree that the bridge looks fantastic and will definitely help to get supporters from the town to the SoL.
However I have a question about when supporters are leaving SoL after the game , cross the bridge and then meet the dual carriageway and the pelican crossing to get into Keel Square. Surely given the numbers this is bound to form a bottleneck.
I think one of the original ideas was for a large pedestrian underpass to go under the road, I assume this didn't happen because of the cost.
What's going to be the solution?
Do they close the road for say 30 minutes after each game?
I know, I know, but it's a daft thought that just popped into my head and I thought it was worth asking the question.

It probably won't be much different to going over to the match currently. What you have to remember, is that there'll still be a decent amount going over wearmouth bridge as they've parked down that way or drinking down sunniside. There'll be some not crossing road as theyre going towards Deptford as that's where they've parked. By Increasing access points, youre dispersing the crowd more. Although there'll be a few thousand more added to crowd next year until

I was in there the other week with a mate and the good ladies , looking back I’m sure he was talking to you possibly as he was cracking on about welding and that . Gary B was my mate
A few ex-welders get in there mind.
I was talking to a Gary along with my other mates George and Davie who worked at Caterpillar that used to work with Gary B.
Gary's dad worked offshore as a pipe fitter, I worked with him years ago.

Not massively different from what I've posted previously but does give an idea of how far on they are with linking the bridge to the Stadium.

Pretty sure I watch these as much for the soundtrack as the visuals. Like something off a post-rock CD I bought in Paris in 1998...

The pier is NOT 7.5 meters

At 1:57 coming in from top left some knacker has written NUFC TOON ARMY on the roof but had SAFC sprayed on it also. Looks like it's been there a while on the Edward Thompson building in Richmond Street 🤣

Switching to globe view on Google Maps it shows the SAFC spray and the smaller RED for RED ARMY 🤣
