Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Thought they had done that last week? Or does it take a while?
3 large joints and associated internal bracings all got to be welded to procedure, which means pre & post heat treatment. Then weld inspection, and coating after that.
I will have a gander over at it tonight when I walk over the Town Bridge when going to the match. If the scaffolding and tarpaulins are still up - then I would say that the welding/inspection process has not been completed.

Cheers mate.

It really does look impressive in that drone flypast video. Congratulations to all involved.
What are the plans for artwork within the walls of the bridge?
Hope there is some - before the graffiti taggers get there ... hope some thought has gone into the idea of an " experience" before I walk between concrete panels full of mindless graffiti.... it has to be good chance for the local community and art college to create something worthwhile.

great it's being built and will be well used, but how the f*ck will it be iconic? 🤷‍♂️ it's a bog standard bridge.
Height and the link to SOL will make it iconic. Like Wembley Way. People will talk about it. Iconic is over used but I'm happy to use it for anything that boosts the profile of the city and the club. It is impressive already, unlike the pedestrian bridge at Durham.
