Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Careful flying in the fog marra, the damp will get into the drone.
Would you believe that my drone is fine but my controller has died after a firmware update? It's charging and switching on but get a black screen and I've tried everything to shift it. Reading the forums it seems like a common problem so I've sent it off for repair. Still under warranty so we'll see what happens. Crap timing though.

Thats a nightmare, its one of the reasons i went for the RCN-1 controller as i didn't fancy the screen as one more thing to go wrong. Tbf from what ive read DJI are usually good with this kind of thing. care refresh is a good option also if you don't have it already.

I have it but it doesn't cover the controller, just the drone. Still under warranty so hopefully I don't get stung.
DJI are mint when it comes to returns/repairs
Good to know. Sent it off this morning so we'll see what happens.

A shame. I have really enjoyed the drone footage capturing a bit of history. Hopefully you are flying soon.

Just went past the bridge, could see the 2 winch lines down to the water ready on the south bridge strand jacks...the crane was busy readying the north side...big lift on for next week I reckon

Not one of them would have even heard of Civil Engineering.
I hadn't when I asked someone in front of me in class what course they'd applied for at University. He said Civil Engineering and I didn't have a clue what it was. He said "They make dams, bridges, motorways, power stations, stuff like that". I thought it sounded quite good, forty years later I'm a Chartered Civil Engineer and have built dams, bridges, motorways, power stations, stuff like that, It's quite good. 😄
