Firstly, there is a huge difference between 'street art' and 'tagging'. Lisbon is smothered in high quality mural work and it really adds to the atmosphere of the place. Rome, the 'Eternal City' is covered in ugly tags on every damn streetcorner. Nobody wants to see someone's messy abortion of a signature on some aged architecture, but if you're going to add to the funky beauty... then crack on.
Maybe they should hire a few muralists to depict our great city in its prime and in the future. Once a surface is covered, these halfwits tend to go elsewhere and even if they muscle in it is much easier to repair than a virgin wall.

You have the SOL for six months. Which will come in handy.
But after that what is it there for.
The Bacon of Light, the swimming pool, and the new drinking and dining place.
Every one they is places to park, if you have a car. If not get off the bus at the Wheatsheaf and walk over the bridge there. It will be quicker than and a lot easier then walking through the city centre from park lane.

As hilarious as it is, this is a perfect of example of the thought process that people go through. "I get the bus to Park Lane therefore the only possible use case is someone walking from Park Lane."
 
So weird that residents of a city can be opposed to something so positive. It's as if they think Sunderland can't have nice things, almost self-deprecation. The whole Riverside plan looks amazing and we're finally looking like a city, but still they comment with their bland, generic complaints about the council while displaying no understanding about how to actually urban plan. Getting harder not to bite back at them. WDSC.

I think it's more a kind of civic self-loathing than self-depreciation.

And the new construction building academy, the esports place, the planned x hundred houses, st peters metro station and not forgetting the club shop and the love supreme place (short cut to Tescos too) what is it there for?

They complain how bad the high street shops are while ignoring that the same is true in every town and city.
