Wet behind the ears youSo why is it still on the councils main riverside master plan page?
Why give a date in black and white to the public with no intention of meeting it.

I'm nicknaming it La Sagrada BridgeWet behind the ears you
Reminds me of Durham Council and the never ending saga of the A19 exit at Seaham. Every time dates slipped they’d remove the key target dates and update them to whatever it had slipped to. Proper gaslighting stuffYou must be logged on to see external links
Council said different.
It's for the rugby, presuming that's where they're setting up the fanzone, they've a load of activities on and they're some kind of interactive screens.
Aye, I think that's what'll happen.I wonder where the route is going to go on Friday on the north side of the bridge , at the moment it can't go past the stables and straight to the south stand ? It's not going to divert right towards the metro station then left up Hay Street surely ?
They will have the paving open past the stables and up thats what theyve been working flat on for past months, looks nearly done on linkedin post just nowI wonder where the route is going to go on Friday on the north side of the bridge , at the moment it can't go past the stables and straight to the south stand ? What security measures is it going to have for the first few weeks it’s openNot reading full thread, is it open for Brentford?

Humans are curious. It's a new landmark and a chance to see the city from a new vantage point. It's more strange that you're going to be lengthening your journey to avoid it tbhAlways find the fascination people have with trying out new bridges a bit strange mind. I remember when they opened the spire bridge. Shit loads more cars than normal. People must have just wanted to drive over the bridge because it was new. Can guarantee loads will want to walk over this new one even if they aren't going anywhere, just because it's new. Don't understand it tbh. This one will be the quickest way for me to get to the ground, but fully expect it'll be extra mobbed for the first league game it's open so I'll just go over the wearmouth bridge and it'll probably be empty
I won't lengthen my journey (time-wise) to avoid it, I just think it'll work out quicker. Walking down from millfield so quickest option would be to go across the new bridge but if it's rammed like the wearmouth bridge can be after the match sometimes then I'll probably quicker walking the extra couple of minutes to the one that will probably have much fewer people on it. If it's busy but flowing decently I'll go over the new one, but only because it's the quickest option, whereas lots will be lengthening their journey to "try out" a new bridge. Just seems a bit pointless, but like you say, humans are a curious beastHumans are curious. It's a new landmark and a chance to see the city from a new vantage point. Really? Could have sworn it was meant to be open for the Brentford game?Put back? Was never due to open till October
Going to open 1 day for the rugby then get the finishing work done
No day has ever been mentioned by the councilReally? Could have sworn it was meant to be open for the Brentford game?

Never said there was anything wrong with it. Just can't understand the clamour people seem to have to go over a bridge as soon as it opens. I think it'll be a good addition, should shave some time off my journey to the match so I'd definitely use it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go over a bridge if I wasn't going somewhere on the other side of it or if there was a quicker way to get where I'm going. Fair enough like, just think it's strange to want to cross it early just because it's thereprobably because its a point of view they havent seen before, nothing wrong with that
