Keane on why he turned

Keane haters sticking the knife in. There's a surprise.

Lets see what the new man brings.

This place turns faster than milk in the Sahara desert sun.
It does mind. :)

I'm no hater but it's difficult not to see this as an exercise in self promotion. He thrives on being the centre of attention. Was he ever really serious? Were we?

Obviously like the rest of us I don’t actually know what went on with the contract discussions. But I genuinely doubt it was anything to do with what Roy himself was being paid he’s a smart guy he knows the situation….I’d say he loves the club but cast a cold eye on the interview panel and thought I don’t fancy you lot. I love the club and the fans but I don’t fancy the people in charge….he famously said fail to prepare….prepare to fail.
Anyway onwards and upwards let’s get behind the lads and the new manager.

He was never the right fit! But people on here were adamant he was the answer, that clamour clearly affected the selection panel and the merry go round killed us.

'It comes down to money'. Reet there's your saviour.
Says he has to feel like there's a fit with the club and that there wasn't. It's hardly surprising after what's been going on after the last few weeks. If I went for a round of interviews with the likes of Speakman and Charlie, I'm not sure I'd have walked out there confident that they knew what they were doing. I was hoping he'd say more tbh, but he's obviously decided to leave it alone.

We move on. We'll see how the new man sets the side up after a full weeks training. Hopefully, he can pull a rabbit out the hat and get a much needed 3 points.

Can't help thinking of a Chris Maguire-esque return for Connor Wickham to pile on the misery.
You see what you want to see, I see MONEY.

Seeing as our board is in chaos, we're possibly better off with a calm Scottish bloke in charge of the team instead of a human hand grenade like RK

All the time was maybe an exaggeration. But he’s a definite contrarian

Think he's more the blunt type to be honest, don't think disagrees with people more than Souness, Neville or Carragher do. Just gets highlighted more when he does because of his persona and who he is.

There's having an affinity with a club, and choosing to go to it when you wouldn't otherwise have considered the same circumstances elsewhere, and then there's doing it in the light of risk / reward and clearly the finances have to be right. If I were hiring into a business it has to be the right incentive for an employee and if what i'm offering isn't compelling or motivating then it's the wrong hire for everyone.

I've no ill feeling to Keane for his comments, none at all.
