Keane on why he turned

It quite clearly says he said it tongue in cheek and was joking with the money comment.

The reason he actually gave is that the club has to be right and it wasn’t right. It wouldn’t have gone on as long as it did if it had all come down specifically to money.
The bloke won't ever manage again bookmark this he's a f***ing coward and a gobshite.

He's like Gary Neville loves to be in a comfy studio criticizing everyone and everything but Neville will never ever go back in to management because he's a coward

More fked off about the club feeding nick barnes garbage. Of course they offered it to him and he turned it down but they are saying they didn't.

Keane slagged players off for not falling over themselves & being desperate to play for us previously. Was it David Nugent. He’s obviously not desperate to manage us.

Not sure what I’m saying like, if it’s a compliment he’s followed his own attitude & knows it wasn’t right or if he’s a f***ing idiot for turning down the best chance I believe he’ll get.

Either way, as someone who really wanted him, on reflection, that interview doesn’t sound amazing. Doubt he’d be in the game of playing it down either.

I though the wording was he didn't get a second interview? Still very possible they offered him it. When it became about money they kept their options open.
