Kasey Aldridge

it’s a bit hard to keep up with all this mind

Just signing random players each week who play for a few games then leave

Strikes me as a lack of planning

Don’t like it at all
Available for the first 8 games due to a lengthly injury list in the bowling department

Wonder if they announced it now as he'll play for the 2nd XI today

We love a short term loan, it's like midweek club cricket of texting everyone about availability and seeing who responds, hoping you will have enough to put out an 11.

Nee one is fit or with England mind

He's a good player is Aldridge from what I've seen in red ball. Whether that translates to white ball is another story

Potts and Carse were never going to be here

I am just being honest there’s just random players turning up for Durham and then leaving

No connection to any of them

But at least Aldridge will be here for the majority of the group stage. No real different to an overseas.

Think about how many spinner we went through in 2023. Signed Murphy he dropped out, got Kunhemann he got injured, got patel and then ended up M.Parky.

Yeah just not a fan of it meself

Must admit I find this a very bizarre one.

It’s all bizarre to me

We should have a stick of senior bowlers and then be playing a local talent

Im not gonna kick off about it but we knee Potts and Carse were away, I just can’t keep up with all these players coming and going

Only one I’m please to see soon is Wagner

"Aldridge arrives as bowling cover due to a lengthy injury list in the bowling department" says the media release.
Only Connors and possibly Hogg are injured. Available in the seam bowling department are Raine,Neesham, Foulkes, DeLeede,Coughlin,Minto and Killeen with spin options of Sowter,Drissell,Parkinson and Ackerman. Aldridge may well be an asset but if there's a perceived lack of options in the seam bowling this should have been addressed in the close season with permanent signings.
Mind that Rushworth at Warwickshire doesn't play T20 for them but is short of match practise. Reckon he'd be a canny loan.

Of all the tournaments to play Minto and Killeen this would be the one for me. I understand a 4 day game

Is it possible that there is some sort of ECB compensation scheme where there is an amount of money that must be spent in the season which you ‘lose’ players to England but that can’t be rolled over into next season?

Bring back a full academy team and get back to local lads first. Struggling to find the slightest bit of interest in the current side.
