We had shape and we had some good players, is wasn't shit watching mvila, the big German, Defoe.
Granted we put a few decent performances in but in the main we ground out results playing defensively. People don't really care about how "pretty" the football is aslong they are winning.

At first maybe, we were functional to get results, but that team in the second half of the season was fine to watch. If only Sam stayed...
I don't disagree - but it's a bit like people cordoning off 'prime' periods of boxers' careers. It overlooks all the rest, when it'd be more accurate being the whole.

We had a chunk of draws where it was like he's lost it here.

Do you think were it not for Kirchhoff, the games would have been as fine? Just having a few objective thoughts on the fat fucker anyway..:)

Pre-January we were pretty poor. in fact december was a disgrace if i recall. he was scrapping around for a formation/lineup he could work with given the lop sided squad he inherited.
I think he proved to be not the stubborn manager we all thought though as he did change both his personnel (Borini came back in when not a favourite, and Cattermole and one or two others - Yedlin ?) and his way of playing - little guy up front. more balls on the deck. It took him a while to figure it out and needed to bring a few of his own players in to get it working but you could see the transition take place. It wasnt lucky IMO.

Disgruntled fan rewriting history and altering facts to suit his own agenda.
Nah, not you.

Not sure Des ever reads a post before diving in feet first.
He'll have got his knickers in a twist after reading the first sentence and dove in dickhead first to defend his beloved Allardyce, despite the face the overall post was pretty positive about him.
