In theory, Karanka should be a very quick appointment to make if what people are saying about him being settled in the area is anything to go by so there's a problem with him wanting more money than Short is willing to give or Karanka thinks it's a bad move in general.

I personally think that Karanka won't take the job due to a lack of funds in January, any manager wanting to manage us will be desperate to get in now whilst the international break is on and get his head around things.

It's just a feeling and I'm probably wrong but it shouldn't take too long to ask a few questions and then either take the job or decline based on the answers given.

That's if he's been approached by the club in the first place.
