He was superb at the Euros last year and definitely has something about him, but I'm not sure he's at City's level. Not yet anyway and has time to get better. I hope he does for England sake.
 
Will look decent 90% of the time, playing for a team that dominates the ball.

However he’s nowhere near the standard they need at the top, top level. Will be exposed as a weak link for them in big Prem and Champions League games.
 
Phillips ( and rice ) are so limited playing for England

I guess he will be the ‘water carrier’ at city
 
Last season was really his season to kick on, shame he was injured most of it. City, Liverpool etc, need these type of players in the squad English lads who will work hard and do a job . Very good signing for City, providing he stays injury free, he's alot better than what people seem to think on here.
