Was surprised it was same price all around the ground like. Got my three sorted :-)

The leaflet I received today stated that it was a different price in some parts of the ground.

ODI in 2012: £42 in NE Terrace and Barmy Army, £55 elsewhere, £15 kids

Ashes Test in 2013: £55 in NE Terrace and Barmy Army, £75 elsewhere, £20 kids

Good to see the booking fee has been pegged at £3 per transaction. Boils my piss when it is about £5 per ticket.

wasnt mate.
barmy army was only 55.
i went for the 75 ones, almost behind the bolwers arm cos last time i was in the barmy army bit at durham (WIndies) it was cramped (temp stand) and was full of knackers singing anti mag/sunlun songs.

edit: has the dates down for each day (suggesting a mon - fri test), however the letter says the dates arent concrete as of yet. hmmm......

Bought mine last night too, im over the moon!!

I am amazed that the tickets have gone on general sale, thought there would be no chance for non members etc!!

Surely applied would be the right word? Or is it first come first served?

Anyone know?

The FIL is applying for an ashes ticket for you

First come first served!!

Pick your seat in the blocks which are available!

Good good

It's crap that the test match is mon-fri and not over the weekend.

ODI ticket bought in the CD Stand & waiting to get paid before buying test match tickets.

That's very kind of him. All 5 days? :-) Are the usual suspects attending too?

There's nothing in the leaflet I received that says the test is Mon-Fri and I would be amazed if those were the days. Test matches in England always include the weekend.

Just noticed the leaflet says ECB will confirm the dates in October 2011.

Is the Barmy army stand the County Durham stand? Or the part where there is currently on seats, but will be once the extension is built?

Think some of my student loan next year will go on tickets if there's still any knocking about come September.

the latter.

if its owt like before it will be a knocked temporrary stand where there is just enough room to rest ya chin on ya knees.

decided against it this time cos the last time i was there it was full of muppets singing football songs and fighting.

CD stand for me.

That area is supposed to have full permanent seating in by the time the Ashes test comes around.

I prefer the upper County Durham stand as you get a great view of the game (and it's the only part of the ground I can see the red ball being bowled for some reason).
