Richard keys says he has heard that it will go through on Friday ☹️
Apparently he also said this in may. Not that that means anything. Likelyhood is no one actually knows then one day there'll be an announcement one way of the other. May be that Mike issues a statement describing a £17 million "investment" in him from mbs :)

Can't wait for this takeover to happen and for the mags to realise that people with money don't spend their own money buying football clubs, nor to they just throw millions of pounds into a club

2022: "Wuh want them arubs oot a wuh club man. #SowdyMafia"

Now if Keys had said the takeover was off and announcement due Friday. He'd be called every name under the sun.

But because he reckons takeover to be confirmed Friday not a peep out of them slagging him 😂

Oh dear. Has somebody actually taken the time out to create that?

Ordinarily it would be very tough to justify such unnecessary sponsorship when you have recently tripled VAT and cut living allowances in the country. Fortunately (for the mags) its not a democracy.

Suddenly, everyone's an expert on the domestic politics of Saudi Arabia....

As an economist with a research interest in Islamic Finance, and who has worked in the region and with the company depicted on the shirt - I know a bit.

Fair play marra, but you aren't alone on here... ;)

(btw I did a bit with Kuwait Petroleum mesel)

Never said I was. But you clearly thought everyone contributing to the debate is a numbskull getting all their info from facebook and twitter.

Everytime you hear Staveley speak she seems more interested in the land and property area around Newcastle. Sounds like it's more the saudi's investing in the area rather than the club which makes sense in that they aren't chucking money into the black hole of football and investing in property to increase their wealth and returns for their invesment fund. It's clear they will invest more than Ashley in players but not to Man City levels.

“I am hugely proud of Man City – we are not looking at creating another Man City in terms of the huge levels of investment they’ve had on players."

"But what I love about Man City is how they have invested so well in Manchester, in the area. That’s really important and the sort of thing we would want to do elsewhere.”

What was the vat rate and what is it now? What is the minimum wage. Honest question.

The Saudis dont need a football club to invest in an area. They own half of London man.

The only reason they are there is to back Staveley imo. Staveley and the Reuben brothers in particular are real estate.
