To be honest Bruce has done far better than I expected given his record and from what I had seen of his performances at other clubs.
What it comes down to, for me, is the OTT criticism Benitez gets from pundits, some Newcastle fans and yes, people on here. He's got faults and flaws, but he's nowhere near as bad as people make out.

I could show you all the performance metrics I like, I could recount anecdotal evidence, but because of your anti-NUFC, anti-Benitez bias nothing would be good enough. I've shown you stats which you dismissed because they weren't Opta stats, when I showed you were, you dismissed them again.
If you want to show my proof is unsound, prove the opposite. That's how a conversation works. I've made my case, I've backed it with evidence. If you have evidence that proves my evidence is unsound I'll happily review it. But you don't, your sole tactics appear to be to arbitrarily declare my evidence (Opta or otherwise) unsound.
