Yet there's plenty on here who persist in comparing Benitez' time at Newcastle with Bruce's. Either you cannot compare seasons or you can. Which is it?

You’re wasting your time though. You haven’t convinced anyone. There must be a more productive way to spend your time

You as much as anyone. I don't think anyone is saying Bruce is a better manager than Benitez as that just simply isn't true. One has a stellar management record while the other is a bit of a lower prem plodder. Its just the fact that you personally and many other Newcastle fans are incapable of judging the here and now because of rafa's reputation - you over egged his performance as Newcastle manager which was no better than moderate. After the bad start last year typical comments were 'what he supposed to do with this shower of shit?' while any Bruce defeat will inevitably be down to the tactics of a dinosaur. Bruce may have carried a bit of fortune this year but what this year does prove is that Rafa wasn't doing anything more than a moderate job with a squad of players who were getting broadly where they should be. Bruce may well have had a better structure but Bruce has got more out of Almiron and I don't think Bruce would have even entertained ASM and certainly wouldn't have played him and Almiron in the same team.

In short Bruce has completely shown you up - no wonder you don't like him.

I'm just chatting on here while I do other things/wait for other things to finish. I'm not on here during the weekends or in the evenings when real life is happening.
