Thing is the PL need to have conclusive watertight proof that firstly the Saudis are involved in piracy. Secondly, if they do prove this they need to link it to the relevant people. If they can’t there’ll undoubtedly be huge lawsuits and diplomatic ramifications. I’d expect the Saudis have either zero connection or they’ve covered their tracks superbly.
Also, the PL will certainly not just take the word of the Quateris at face value. They’re as corrupt as the next. Their World Cup bid shows that.
It’s I imagine a massively complex case for the PL and one they need to be 100% sure of when they make their decision.

No, the decision will be about money.

If it’s all signed, agreed and submitted for approval then unsure if they can go back to the negotiating table.
I may be wrong like.
Not sure either. Would of thought they'd risk losing the 17m and what they've already paid in legal fees would be all would risk to lose. The longer this goes on, the better the deal for Ashley. Only 40m cheaper due to covid? Thanks very much.

It’s impossible to second guess. My opinion is that the Saudis really want to buy to get into the world of premier league football and Ashley really wants to sell because he’s getting a great price / profit in this hugely challenging time.
I’d think instead of going back over it all again they both just want it signed off and to be done and dusted.
Only my opinion like.

They weren't exactly swift at negotiating though considering their financial power. It seems like despite having daft money they don't want to get ripped off. Otherwise this deal would have been done months ago, before covid became an issue.

I’ve no idea when it started or how it proceeded but I’m sure it’d be a drawn out affair. I’d imagine Ashley would be a very tough and drawn out negotiator. Fair play to him if he’d walks away with 300 million.

We all know they haven’t been convicted and probably never will be, but most people including the WTO, FIFA, EUFA and the Premier League all believe they are involved and have tried to bring them to justice.

Serious question for you, do you believe the Saudi’s are innocent when it comes to the piracy issue? A simple yes or no will suffice.

In all honesty, I have no knowledge of Middle Eastern television or piracy so it’s impossible for me to say. The honest answer is I dont know.

I’d be amazed if anybody knew enough about it to answer with a degree of Knowledge and not just a wild guess.

Think football was already suspended when this deal started getting into the media, but I could be wrong
