It was owed to him as part of the sale agreement. How and when it was paid was down to the new owners. Ellis Short didn’t take income from SAFC. That’s a very misleading statement.

Not once have I mentioned or even insinuated that Donald or anyone from Madrox have profited from SAFC.

I think it may have been their aim to initially, I.e restore the club to the top two divisions after reducing overheads to a level that new investors wouldn’t be scared by and then flip it. Perfectly fine to do that and I was never particularly uncomfortable with that notion. I was uncomfortable with the spin around everything, their communications and the obscene levels of credit given to them by our own fanbase despite them not doing much beyond cutting costs.
well i agree with all of this....my point was only ever to emphasise themoney went to shorts account andwas never anything to do with donald.

the money was owed to sbc corporation. league rules mean the para money couldnt go straigh to them...so short paid them..then claimed it back from safc when the para money arrived.
The parachute money was never supposed to "go" anywhere. It was back up for if Donald couldn't settle the liabilities Madrox had. He specifically confirmed this. I can post it again if you like?

that was donald lying. SBC corporation had legal title over the money, never been disputed. I dont care what donald said, the legal agreement between SBC and the club under short showed where the money was suoposed to go. Its that simple.

donald did meet his liabilities...the accounts show the purchase price went from madrox to short, £12.7m .so what would the security have been for?

Our support are like rabid f***ing animals after a few losses. Surprised the dinner ladies haven't getting pelts for how unfit we are or the grounds keepers for the injuries we're getting at the training ground and home turf. We now have 2 very wealthy and very influential board members as a club that needs to stop pissing money up the wall on shite. Yet our supporters seem to want these 2 to act like FM sugar daddies. Get a grip?

if anything the last ten years has taught us is, unsustainable ways to run a football club has got us into league one.

Unsure how he's a waste of space and I really don't see why anyone would abuse the fella. He seemed to really buy into the club and area. None of us know what his input has been in the background nor what plans he has. Who's to say we won't end up forming a link with Monaco?
When you say buy in, not with actual wads of cash given his wealth and supposed interest in pushing us forward?
Is he completely off our board now? Has he still got a slice of the club?
Bet Methven is still lurking on this board.

Ffs just say who you are!

For a regime that includes a someone who resigned from his role two years ago as well as someone who accused Sunderland fans of kidnapping his daughter from a bus stop they don't half seem to keen to be still around the club.

well i wish they were gone but doanld in particualr remains a substantial shareholder

It’s pie in the sky stuff. They’re a mid table French top flight club. We have very little to offer them and vice versa. Any notion that Sartori being on their board is somehow going to benefiting SAFC is completely for the birds.

We've got a lad on loan from Man City, a lad on loan from Bayern, and we bought another from Spurs. I'm not saying it will happen, but its hardly pie in the sky stuff.
