I'm not getting involved anymore with you on this after this message as i suspect your whole purpose for being on this board is linked to this very issue. The simple fact is that madrox took our parachute money to fund the purchase of the club. That is an indisputable fact no matter how you try and twist it.
it is not an indisputable fact! its in fact provable that the opposite is the case! the accounts are a matter of public record and they show where the money went...why it went there, and who got it.they show that the shares weresold for £12.7m and that donalds company paid that.
He said he was going to though? He also mentioned the Uruguay feeder scheme thing. Nowts happened
well yes,,he was stupid on both counts..the uruagay thiing was made as they would never had got visas for them.

I see this has turned into another 'Madrox hoodwinked the whole Sunderland fanbase in the purchase of the club'

I think we all just need to move on from it now🥱

Isn't that another SMB urban myth that Sartori only paid a quid for his shares in Sunderland?

@Grumpy Old Man should be able to lay that nonsense to rest?

He paid Donald £1 for 20% of the shares in Madrox, which owned 100% of Sunderland. He then put £3m into Madrox, representing his share of the price paid to Short for those shares. It appears that he subsequently put in a further £2.5m, again via Madrox.

..... and the guy attends our matches (home and away), he loves being involved with the club and meeting the fans and he celebrates when we score like a real supporter.
He has a substantial interest in the club both financially and emotionally and he is an integral part of our new ownership under KLD.

As for him buying in to Monaco and building closer links with Louis-Dreyfus family .... that should be something positive for Sunderland.

Some people on this thread/board have questionable motives and loyalties the way they continually want to unsettle and undermine the players, managers and directors.

He's been appointed to the board there. His father in law (Dmitri Rybovlyev) owns 100% of it.

I hope KLD buys these lot out in the summer. Hopefully they’ll see that their “dream” of us getting to the prem and then they get a crazy price for their shares is just a non-starter and they fuck off.
Unless we get to the championship no chance of that happening

Some would argue were it not for him kld would not have come on board.
The '3 stooges' as I recall were toast of the town their first 6 months. Their social media escapades had the punters swooning. 'They get us' ..after saying no more pisstaking etc etc.
Kld has only been here 6 months and he is treated like a God.
Fickle huh

I totally get what you say however it is wrong.

The first six months the spouted false promises and any hopes of a new dawn quickly sank.
They turned on the fans faster than they turned on us.
Remember one making up stories of fans kidnapping their family if I recall?

I don’t see kld being treated like a god. Respect, potentially, but he hasn’t made any claims of greatness, promises have not been broken and he is quietly getting on with business.

The previous owners were a disgrace. I have again watched Sunderland til I die and it is extremely cringeworthy.
The way our owners talked to staff through to the blatant lies they were spreading about the clubs goings on were deplorable and should never be near running a club.
Their intentions were good, there style was not.

Unsure how he's a waste of space and I really don't see why anyone would abuse the fella. He seemed to really buy into the club and area. None of us know what his input has been in the background nor what plans he has. Who's to say we won't end up forming a link with Monaco?
And you think that's a good thing?

This is an incredibly misleading statement. And it’s not the first time I’ve seen it.

Actually, it's not. There's a clear documentary trail at Companies House to show that the parachute payments found their way to Drumaville, paying off the last £25m of the SBC loan, which Short had moved into Drumaville just before completion, thereby giving the cosmetic appearance the the club was debt-free, when in fact the charges SBC had over the club were not lifted until after the parachute had left the club in August.

If only Donald hadn't said the opposite. If only he hadn't said the parachute payments were only security in case he personally couldn't pay. As always that's where your continued defence of what they did falls down.

Don’t know what he actually does or what he’s done. All I’ve seen is that he’s played 5 a side at the academy and attended a couple of games. Can still hear SD in the podcasts to this day saying Sartori was ‘incredibly well connected’. Done the club a load of good hasn’t it

And when did that parachute payment make its way to Drumaville?

None of us know what his input has been? Well we know we are still in this piss poor league 3 to 4 years since his involvement.

Even then the leeches will want to hang on as they''ll be drooling at thought of prem sky cash income. It will be a struggle to get rid of them. Again, by default, they will be holding us back.
Kld can't even but money in for transfers because madrox don't want to put money in for transfers so only money we can spend in Jan window is money the club can generate itself
