Hope the lad does well, haven't seen him so obviously can't comment yet, but bloody hell the social media team don't half build things up! Seeing a teaser announement is always going to make people think it might be something big, like Donald selling the club, not getting a random midfielder in! Still sounds a fairly decent signing I suppose
Scowen kind of rhymes with throw in, so I'm hoping he's mint at them and we can make up a song about it.

When Sunderland win a throw in,
We throw the ball to Scowen,
He shoots and it will go in,
He's absolutely mint

Think he’s a good defender, but poor with the ball at his feet. Think he’s improved greatly and difficult to criticise when they’ve kept 3 clean sheets in a row! just think Lynch is better on the ball personally than him.
Neither will be here next season, both out of contract end of season

He’s a defensive midfielder isn’t he? Will be signed as competition for Dobson & Power as opposed to someone who is creative and can come in for Gooch/Maguire.

Pushes Leadbitter further down the pecking order.
Yeah, not sure what the future is for him to be fair....a coaching role at the club? A move to another league 1/2 club?

Played 18 times this season as far as I can tell, nearly 100 appearances for QPR, 26 and by all accounts none stop and hard working. I think that gives us four decent players competing in central midfield and Leadbitter in a crisis.
Looks a good signing to me. Wide forward and LWB next please.

Exactly this. Can't tell until he's played for us but he seems to tick most of the boxes as far as the centre of midfield is concerned,

It'd be good to get wide forward and wing backs (both sides) next and, perhaps more importantly, get rid of Grigg and McGeady.
