Really pissing me off that we have the best young kid who has come through the ranks at the club for fuck knows how long getting turned into a bit of a boo boy by some supporters.

What is it with the modern day football fan that a players cant have a bad or a quiet couple of games without people 'Wanting rid' or 'Not good enough'

Is it to much to ask for a bit patience when needed for a talented young footballer instead of hounding the lad at every little error he makes which I feel is starting to happen now

Maybe the term boo boy is a bit strong at this moment but hopefully you get my drift

I like JH, and would like him to stay. Others prefer Barton. If we all agreed there wouldn't be anything to argue and discuss. At least we can all think that the people who disagree are some kind of numbskull.

It's the way of the world. Peoples' patience threshold is lowering all the time and none more so than the fan of an aspiring premier league football team.
We've had a manager here less than a season and a half after escaping relegation on the last day, and he's had to rebuild the squad and change the mentality, playing style, in short clean up the shambles he inherited.
One of the best things he has done has been giving responsibility to Henderson. A young local lad with the football world at his feet. The lads just on 20, has 50 + premier games under his belt, won an england cap and in doing so has caught the eye of the country's best managers and biggest teams.
Dear me, he was made to look second best in a patched up midfield by one of the most expensively assembled teams in the world.
Then we play stoke off the park, but due ( in the main ) to referee blunders we lose.
That's his fault as well.
I am happy to predict that when Muntari and sessegnon are up to speed and Catts is back, we'll be able to see JH further shine.
Thankfully JH knows he's apperciated by those that matter..the majority of fans and SB. The opinions of a few bitter and twisted know nowts, like those who utter them, are worthless.

This is the crucial bit - Jordan seems a bright enough lad to ignore the arseholes on here and focus on his football. Because as I'm sure has been pointed out, given his age and where he's from a few of his mates will probably look in on the board from time to time.

I cannot possibly have a go at him for us losing against Stoke as he's not a Geordie.

That's all it is an opinion, stop getting yourself all wound up about it, by the way what you drinking...?

he must get a bit pissed off if he ever comes on here and reads some of the shit that gets posted about him

Can we get rid of some fans and send them down the road....

Are you related to Hitler, so people who have a different opinion to you are wrong...oh dear

Hitler had them interned, I said their opinions dont matter ie worthless, unless you are suggesting we pander to a small minority and disregard the prevailing majority. That to me says you seek to usurp the principles of democracy ooh dear.
There were no austrians on my dad's side, not sure about me mothers

look mate this board is all about debate and whether you agree or disagree with certain people, they are entitled to their opinion.

I am sick to death of the Henderson threads, the ones bigging him up are just as bad as the ones slagging him off as you get the same arguements one each thread.

He is nowhere near as bad as some have said but also he is nowhere near as good as some think either. Potentially he can be a great player and I am sure he will but opinions on this board will neither hinder or help his progress.

Never heard him being booed.

Strange you would make yet another new thread when multiple ones already exist making EXACTLY the same point.

Perhaps you are just looking to draw out criticism of him so you can have an argument about it?

Totally agree...well I agree with those who rate him and disagree with those that keep bagging him.

Don't worry Rob, everybody will be licking his arse after another couple of decent games. Then he'll be shit when he's not up to par a few games later.

Hopefully with Sessgnon and Muntari we'll now have enough midfielders to use Henderson as and when it suits us, rather than relying on him. If he was a young'un at Man Utd, there's no way he'd have played half the minutes he has for us, because Ferguson easies all young players in gently. Just happend that it was a luxury we couldn't afford.

The problem is that, on here, people generally post extremes - one way or another - to get attention. And that provokes people to post extremes in reply.

Let's get it straight, Henderson is not 'shite'. Neither is he 'fantastic'. He is a good, promising player with huge potential.

A couple of bad games doesn't make him a poor player.

Posters on here, however, generally aren't very good at letting players have time to develop, settle in etc - it's all or nothing, if you don't play well in your first game you're shite.

I guess it's a need to look important, knowledgable, insightful, or just to provoke reaction to boost self importance.

We've seen threads calling Gyan a waste of money after a couple of games, I read one yesterday calling Muntari - who I actually thought looked very good on Saturday - shit.

The truth, more often than not, lies in the middle ground.

But unfortunately that holds no appeal to the sensationalist-loving, tabloid-adoring element of posters.

the mistake people make is saying things like ' I would sell henderson for £20m'......basically they are saying they would never see him before he is a long way off that

would rather have henderson in the team the elmo or steed that's for sure
