The kid is 20 years old ffs.....What is wrong with some of you, you seem to want the kid to fail? All I can say is that if Man Utd and City are prepared to pay £20 million for him (this story never seems to go away) then I am assuming he is a quality player....Either that or his doubters on this board know more about football than SAF and Mancini?

Well said. This board is f***ing embarrassing, and not representative of sunderland fans imo.
 
Sorry lads, another Henderson thread

I am a fan of the lad. Personally think he should be played out wide as feel he is too physically weak for a Premiership central midfielder. The lad has bags of potential but is to frequently bullied in centre of park (NUFC H&A, Chelsea, Stoke) to name a few. His passing at times today was woeful.

Either get the lad down the gym to beef up or put him in his natural position out wide.

He definitely needs bulking up a bit, hopefully he will in the summer. He's 6ft2 so he once he fills out a bit he's going to be seriously difficult to knock off the ball.

amongst our current midfielders HE IS NO LONGER GOOD ENOUGH.

You could say that about most of our midfield. Fingers crossed that Muntari comes good.

The lad is good enough, he's 20 and played every game this season for us, the only player to do so. He misplaced a pass today and his head just dropped, which was not good to see. The lad needs a break as he is low on confidence and he has had a lot of publicity to deal with this year with his England cal ups etc.
