Whats been wrong with his captaincy?Let’s not get sentimental now. Neil won’t be in the first 11 next season never mind be captain. While I have time for Neil, he’s not a natural captain and if he sticks around he will massively have to up his game to force his way into the team.
If he doesnt we'll know about Jordans prioritiesI would hope so. He is already set for life, a couple of years or so on reduced wages won't hurt him. He'll still be on decent money by normal standards even with a big pay cut.
A chance to bow out at his boyhood club and a return to the Premier League in one swoop. I reckon he will see it as a great opportunity.
Henderson, Diarra, Le Fee.Hendo, Diarra and Le Fee is some midfield for a promoted side like
Just need the rest of the teamHendo, Diarra and Le Fee is some midfield for a promoted side like
Poor start to the season, captaincy clearly weighting heavy, not a great performance in the play off final, not the greatest motivational speaker. If your a 20 million pound player coming into Sunderland, would Neil be a player you look up too and want to go to war with? I doubt it. Henderson on the other hand!Whats been wrong with his captaincy?
Nobody ever hated him, man.I thought everyone hated him now because he played in Saudi.
He was ahead of his time.A soft spot for a player that retired before he was born?
You reckon we’re bringing someone in from Atletico Madrid, paying him £65k per week as cover? We need cover at LB
Selling Jordan Henderson for £20m and signing him back for free has got to be better than selling George McCartney for £600k and buying him back for £6m.
To be fair aswell it was only the Gerrard connection what took him there, and he couldn’t even see out a year.Nobody ever hated him, man.
People thought it was a mistake. I still do, for the record. But like who hasn't made mistakes.
You can criticise people without hating them. I think he took blood money by going to an islamic dictatorship which execute hundreds of people a year but I also think he's a terrific footballer who has done a lot for charity and handled himself well while here and at Liverpool.
He'd be a huge asset for the club and I'd love to have him here. Doesn't mean I still don't think the Saudis are *****. But there's a difference between a player going there and then coming here, and our club being owned by the bastards.
